This is an exciting time for Redefinition Records as a label.  Damu himself even stepped out of his cave for a few minutes to issue the following statement:


“The staff at Redefinition Records is very excited to announce it’s latest venture.  Though we’re not in the business of giving record deals and soliciting artists, our next project in the works will be courtesy of Low Budget Crew members Kaimbr & Kev Brown. 


I’ve known Kev about 6 years now and I first encountered Kaimbr back in 03.  Over the years, we’ve politicked, shared stages and witnessed each others progression domestically and abroad. 

The last year has been very rewarding as our hobby of releasing music has been picking up steam as John and I got Redefinition Records off the ground.  Since setting off with the simple goal to release good music, we have we grown into a self sustainable entity, and we’re now in position to put out records that we like … WITHOUT any compromising.  As cliche as it sounds nowadays days in arts & entertainment, we stand for “quality.”  We pride ourselves on consistently producing and promoting quality content to the educated consumer audience. 

After Kev sent me a promo copy of the Al Green project, I listened and thought, “this is really good, so when is this coming out on wax?” … Next I thought, “my audience would like this as I do”.  I called John and told him “we gotta put this out cause it fits what we do”.  John listened to the LP while I called Kev and expressed my interest.  The wheels have been in motion since then, so you know what that means!  Kaimbr, Kev, John & myself are planning to release another stellar package of music in “Redef fashion.”   

As always, we thank the fans. Our audience and our supporters are a big motivation.  With that said, I believe in the project.  I think this is something worthy of our time and resources. We can’t wait to present it to the world.  To my fans who support me, support this as it were my own release.  I stand behind it 100%.  Get ready for beats and rhymes done proper… Coming in Late April on Redefinition Records; Kaimbr & Kev Brown’s Alexander Green Project.
